Delete your account & data
Effective date: 20 July 2026 · Last updated: 5 September 2026You can permanently delete your Asktro account and associated data at any time. There are two ways to request deletion.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the Asktro app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and the associated data is erased (see below). This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email us from the phone number/email on your account:

We verify ownership of the account, then delete it. We action verified requests within 30 days (usually far sooner).
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove your personal data, including:
- Your profile — name, phone number, email, and birth details (date, time, place).
- Your wallet balance and saved addresses.
- Your chat and call history with astrologers, and any images you shared.
- Your remedies, saved readings, referrals, and app preferences.
What may be retained (and why)
A limited set of records is kept only where the law requires it, in a form not linked to your profile:
- Transaction / payment records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations. These are anonymised from your profile.
- Fraud / abuse safety records — where needed to prevent repeat abuse, retained for the minimum period required.
Retention periods follow applicable Indian law (including tax/accounting requirements) and are limited to what the law requires.
